Whidbey Property Management was founded by the Mulcahys after a frustrating experience with a rental property management company. When Eddie and Christine needed to conduct a three-day workshop in Orange County with a team of writers and project managers, they decided to book a beautiful vacation rental with collaborative working spaces right on the beach − rather than a handful of hotel rooms. Unfortunately, the rental was plagued by issues, including a refrigerator leak that caused the kitchen to flood and poor communication with the management company that sent someone to shut off the water at the street, leaving the house without water for showers, sinks, or toilets. When asked for a timeline, the property management company didn’t return calls and couldn’t find a maintenance person in the area. The whole team had to cut their trip short, and the company lost valuable time and productivity intended for a highly productive working retreat. This experience made the Mulcahys realize the importance of a reliable property management company and inspired them to start Whidbey Property Management, after purchasing a vacation rental in Langley.
